No new cases and recoveries were reported in the sultanate today, announced the minister of health.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham Hj Jaafar in a press briefing on the current status of COVID-19 infection revealed that the national tally of confirmed cases remains at 141 while recoveries at 138.
Only one patient is still receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre who is in a critical condition but free from the novel coronavirus for two months already and still requiring both respiratory and heart/lung machine (ECMO) assistance.
“Let us together pray for the patient to be granted full recovery by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. Aamiin Aamiin Ya Rabbal Alamin,” said the minister.
Currently, 88 individuals are undergoing quarantine in accordance with the Infectious Disease Act (Chapter 204) with some 2,735 individuals completed their quarantine and in good condition.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 415 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus with the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 at 23,708.
The BruHealth tracing app has accumulated 368,599 individual users, with a total of 7,063 businesses and premises already onboard the platform while 2,033 businesses downloaded the PremiseScan app for those who do not have access to smartphones.
