The Sultanate of Oman will be taking the spotlight for Brunei’s largest Book Fair this year, which is set to return to the Indoor Stadium tomorrow.

Besides from showcasing its vast treasure trove of literary titles, the Sultanate of Oman will be showcasing its unique traditional jewellery and outfits at the Book Fair – which will be held until March 5.

There will also be an array of Omani cultural performance and activities including Oud Musical performance, making of Omani Halwa, Hennah Painting and calligraphy.

Eight booths have been designated for the the country, as announced during a press conference led by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports’ Permanent Secretary Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil yesterday.

Besides from Oman, the Book Fair will also be featuring international book-sellers from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Jordan.

At the same time, the Book Fair will also be featuring sections in teaching, learning and the media, bringing in vendors like Al-Huffaz Management, Tarbiyyah Global, UF Academy and Happy Harun Truck to join the festivities.

Other highlights of the Book Fair include Bedah Karya dan Bicara Buku, Cabaran Ria Bacathon, Finals Manifestation of Folklore Storytelling (CERRAK), Workshop on Children Book Writing and Patriotic Poetry Workshop in conjunction with the National Day.
