Progresif recently donated 100 sets of Al-Quran to muallafs (Muslim converts) in a ceremony held at the Islamic Da’wah Centre to commemorate Nuzul Al-Quran.
Chief Executive Officer of Progresif Hjh Nurul Haniah in a statement said that despite these challenging times Progresif has a responsibility to share goodwill with the local community.
“We hope with the communities we serve, and in this case, we hope the muallaf community is able to gain blessings and insight from the use of these Al-Quran,” she said.
On hand to present the donations to Assistant Director of Islamic Da’wah Centre Uztaz Haji Abd Aziz Haji Abdul Kahar was Progresif’s Director of Human Capital Mohd. Yazdi Hj Yahya.
Also in attendance were Progresif’s partners in the initiative, founder of Ranoadidas Haji Mohd Rano Iskandar Abdullah and Managing Director of Samima Haji Hidayathullah Haji Tajudeen.
Nuzul Al-Quran is an Islamic holiday observed on the seventeenth day of Ramadan as a celebration of the date that the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
The country observed the day in a markedly subdued manner after government warnings against mass gatherings amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, concluded Progresif.
