Progresif has partnered up with the Ministry of Education (MoE) to initiate Progresif for Schools, a multi-dimensional collaborative initiative designed to propel teaching and learning initiatives that will take the country’s education system to new heights.
The new initiative was established during a signing ceremony that was recently held at the Progresif headquarters where a Memorandum of Understanding was jointly penned between Minister of Education Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Hj Hamzah Hj Sulaiman and Progresif CEO, Hjh Nurul Haniah Hj Jaafar.
In her speech, Hjh Nurul Haniah shared that the collaboration with the ministry began as a means to reach a vital, yet common goal; to ensure the success of local youths, “Brunei’s future leaders”.
“Together with the ministry, we set an objective to collaborate on progressing schools, aimed to support students and individuals with the focus on developing their teaching and learning,” she said.
There will be a number of programmes launched under the Progresif for School, explained the CEO.
One of them is the Donate Your Quota Campaign where parents, corporates and the public will be able to donate data to sponsor WiFi in selected schools.
Additionally, Progresif will also be providing career advice for students, helping them to identify their interest and career path via mentors from the company’s Pledge for Progress initiative, which promises to give back one per cent to the community.
“Through the 1% pledge, our talented and dedicated professionals will be exchanging views and experiences in the hope that it will contribute meaningfully to better prepare them for what lies ahead,” added Hjh Nurul.
The Progresif-MoE initiative will also see the establishment of a programme called The Intern, where a number of Progresif’s partners will be providing interesting activities to support students and make them realise their full potential.
“Being a market leader, it is a privilege for Progresif to be able to share our knowledge by conducting a Cross Training Programme in Marketing and Corporate Communication for staff and teachers from the ministry,” she continued.
“I hope in the years to come the partnership will continue to flourish as it brings people together to pursue knowledge, empowering society through an improved quality of life and reaching the goals and aspiration of Wawasan 2035,” concluded Hjh Nurul Haniah.
Also in attendance during the event was Permanent Secretary of Core Education Dr Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati Hj Tajuddin.
