Progresif Cellular has appointed its new Chief Executive Officer Hjh Nurul Haniah Hj Md Jaafar and announced a restructuring exercise that will see the transfer of assets and all customers from Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd to Progresif Sdn Bhd in January.

Hjh Nurul Haniah expressed resolute confidence in her vision of what’s new and what’s next for Progresif and Brunei in the year 2020 and beyond with the provision of a solid platform on which to continue the evolution of brand Progresif.

The 15-year industry veteran and former Chief Administration Officer of Progresif has set her sights on a number of key areas for the continued success, also stating that paramount among those is a renewed effort to become the provider of choice through a second to none customer service experience.

“Progresif must, and will, remain customer-centric in everything the company does, seeing things through the eyes of our customers, earning their trust and confidence, and whether individually or collectively, meet and exceed their expectations”, she said.

In terms of customer-centered products and services, the company made huge leaps in digital innovations and the construction of an application based digital ecosystem to serve Brunei.

This is certainly an area Progresif will hope to consolidate in 2020, the statement added.

Moreover, the formation of Unified National Network (UNN) has presented opportunities to open new products and services such as the 4G+ network upgrades, launch of Fibre Broadband and streaming platform Progresif Media in 2020.

Since the launch of Progresif in late 2014, the company’s growth into a major player in the telecommunications industry has been nothing short of extraordinary.

It has garnered some 20,000 downloads for its Progresif PAY electronic wallet, 30,600 for Progresif Radio, and 15,300 downloads of the Progresif Care app.

Progresif has also introduced its latest products and services namely, Progresif Events electronic ticketing portal, and Progresif Minds education platform.

The key points in their success story are the increasing customer base to 200,000 from 20,000 subscribers, innovating a suite of digital applications to revolutionise the local Fintech, Media, and Entertainment spaces, and building a corporate culture that goes beyond the bottom line to add value throughout the community via extensive CSR engagement. – Analisa Amu
