Progresif and Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) kicked-off the first of their many collaborative projects with the signing of the Secondment Agreement to initiate the secondment of six RB staff to the Progresif brand.
In her opening remarks, Progresif CEO Hajah Nurul Haniah said that Progresif continues to strive towards being the most convenient, customer-centric company in the technology and telecommunications industry.
“I am certain that there is so much we can gain from these talented new additions who have trained in one of the country’s most accomplished companies where customer service is concerned”, she said.
The ceo added that exposure to the rigors of having to meet and exceed international standards, competing with the best in the world, places this class of RB staff in a niche talent pool that any company in Brunei would be lucky to bring on board.
With the collaboration, it will allow RB secondees to sharpen their skills in a different field and industry, exposing them to a host of new and interesting systems, technologies and working cultures, further enhancing their skillsets and open up new prospects for further personal and career development.
Moreover, RB’s Acting CEO Nurbahriah Eliza in her remarks said that the team is delighted to partner with Progresif, a leading telecommunications company in Brunei whose vision closely aligns with RB’s.
“Through this collaboration, we are extremely proud that our secondees will embark on a new challenge and undertake various roles during this period. We hope the experience will improve their individual competitiveness in their future advancement and broaden their knowledge in a new industry whilst promoting exchange and cooperation between RB and Progresif,” she said.
She further said that at the airline, the people’s continuous development is always at the forefront of the company’s thinking with many initiatives introduced to support their growth further.
“Our secondment programme allows them to work temporarily in a different company and build the capacity of our people as the experience may help with career progression, networking, elevating and enriching them through the course of lifelong learning,” added the ceo.
She also highlighted that RB’s secondees are encouraged to take advantage of the new opportunity and challenges presented by the secondment, as it often brings new beginnings that may lead to a more fulfilling career and personal life.
“We are certain their professionalism, knowledge and experience in RB will be an added value to Progresif and for RB, we will gain from the refreshed ideas, skills and capabilities they will bring back from the experience,” she concluded.
The signing ceremony was held at Progresif Headquarters in Gadong and attended by RB’s Manager of Performance and Engagement Adam Shaarill Fred Teo, RB’s Chief People & Performance Officer Richard Rendell and Progresif’s Director of Human Capital Mohammad Yazdi Hj Yahya.
