Progresif yesterday launched its own HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Handbook and Emergency Evacuation video in a bid to increase workplace safety.

The telco said the initiative embodies its strategy in improving and promoting awareness in the overall monitoring of health and safety in the workplace across all sectors.

“With the new handbook and video, we can stimulate an environment that is conducive for learning and better promotes awareness for occupational health and safety in the company,” said Progresif’s CEO Paul Taylor during the launching ceremony at its headquarters yesterday.

In his opening remarks, Taylor emphasised on the importance of adopting health and safety in the workplace as a part of a company’s culture.

The ceremony also saw a presentation of certificates to three Progresif fire marshals; Haji Muhammad Raihan Farid bin Haji Latiff, Lim Fun and Hamizan Marsad.

The certificates were handed over by Lim Hock Guan, Deputy Director of the Fire and Rescue Department.

Also in attendance was Edzwan Zukri Pehin Dato Adanan, Board Member of Progresif and Lead Director of HSE Steering Committee.

Progresif will also be launching a Health and Safety Week campaign in October to promote awareness on the importance of HSE to the public.
