Some $30,000 was raised at the recent charity fun walk, run, and cycle event organised by Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam (Pusat Ehsan).

The annual event which saw 500 participants was hosted at the multipurpose hall of the national stadium aimed at raising funds for the Tabung Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam.

The monies will be utilised to cover the expenses and services that have been and will be used for the well-being of the special needs students at the center.

The lively charity event was also organised to create awareness for the public to give a helping hand to those in need. 

Pusat Ehsan accommodates over 290 students at both of its centres in Benkurong and Jalan Maulans in Kuala Belait.

The eventful fundraiser had two categories namely, the 5km Walk & Run and 30km Cycle which winners are yet to be announced as the event will continue to Belait, Tutong and Temburong districts.

What’s interesting, the medals that will be awarded to winners come in a form of puzzle pieces when collected over the course of four events will make up the Brunei map.

The donations and flag-off were by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Mokti Haji Mohd Daud, who also took part in the fun walk.

The donation was contributed by Cabinet Ministers, business owners as well as private individuals.
