“Today, we have our first customer who purchased the R1200 GSA Rallye and it is the first bike to exit the showroom as he will be getting his documents released. So, we have two more units to go and pending orders of five more units (from Germany),” he said.

The specialty of this model is that the petrol tank can hold up to 34-litres of petrol to power a 1200cc engine, enabling it to go on a distance of up to 650 kilometers in one refueling.

“The bike comes with stainless steel engine guard, navigator for GPS and for this edition, it comes with a TFT (thin-film transistor) display. It is more or less like a car computer system.”

The big-sized bike is sturdy which makes it suitable to go on a long-distance adventure comfortably and ideal to go across Borneo road passing through muddy and gravel paths.

On hand to witness the reveal at QAF Centre in Beribi were the general manager of QAF Auto Sdn Bhd Sivakumar Krishnan and motorbike owners as well as the staff of BMW Brunei.

The BMW Brunei team also welcomed an entourage of motorbike riders from Indonesia called ‘Silver Hawk ‘and departed for the ongoing Borneo Island Challenge with Silver Hawk Head Chapter Brunei.
