Rafie Balim will represent Brunei at the upcoming E-sports Football Asia Championship in Malaysia this week, after clinching other contestants at the national qualifiers held at Nerdee Café in Kiulap yesterday.
The local FIFA game player managed to snatch top place after clinching the now runner-up Faiz Mutalib 1-0 out of a deadlock at the last hours of the game.
After the qualifiers, Rafie will now compete with contestants from 14 other countries including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and Singapore at the tournament slated for April 27-29 at Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur.
A total of 42 players participated in the three-day tournament which started on April 19, under a partnership between Game On and Nerdee Café.
