Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) marked another milestone for receiving the Brand of The Year in Destination Branding award at BrandLaureate World Best Brands Awards 2019 recently in Singapore.
The BrandLaureate World BestBrands is a prestigious and leading branding award that has been in the industry for 14 years.
“Royal Brunei is absolutely delighted to have won this year’s Brand of The Year Award in Destination Branding. This award is a testament to our continued effort to promote Brunei as a world-class holiday destination,” said the airline’s Chief Executive Officer Karam Chand.
He further said that the national carrier is the International Brand Ambassador of Brunei, representing Brunei in all of its destinations, showcasing the warmth of the Bruneian hospitality and values in RB’s service.
RB, Chand added, was entrusted to take on the additional responsibility of Destination Marketing on behalf of the nation.
“We are extremely proud of what we have achieved in the short time and for the recognition of our strategy and its implementation by BrandLaureate,” said Chand.
On hand to receive the award was RB Singapore Country Manager Nick NauNg NauNg.
On his part, Founding President of The BrandLaureate Dr KK Johan lauded RB’s achievement for receiving the prestigious Brand of the Year Award in Destination Branding.
“Recipients of The BrandLaureate World BestBrands Awards – Brand of the Year, are market leaders and are highly respected for their innovative initiatives, and excellent products and services,” said KK Johan.
“They have a strong brand identity and positioning and are the consumers’ preferred choice. This award is a testament to Royal Brunei’s brand strength and success,” added the founding president.
The BrandLaureate World BestBrands Awards is an annual award organised by The World Brands Foundation (TWBF) with the theme ” To Be Heard”, honouring brands with strong voices and positioning.
It is the world’s only branding foundation to recognize brand excellence amongst brands in the world and honour great brands that have impacted communities with positive attributes.
