Flights to Jeddah during March are currently being reviewed following the new regulations introduced by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia, national flag carrier Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) announced in a statement.

“BI001 from Brunei to Jeddah on Saturday, February 29 and BI002 returning on the same day, are operating as schedule albeit with significant restrictions for outbound travellers to Jeddah,” the statement read.

These restrictions include but are not exclusive to, suspended entry for the purpose of Umrah and suspended entry to those with a tourist visa who have visited countries in which the spread of Coronavirus has deemed a danger.

“RB is in the process of making arrangements for the safe return travel of those guests and groups currently in Saudi Arabia to their original point of origin, and will be in contact with guests directly or where appropriate through appointed agents from Monday, March 2 when further details will be available,” the statement added.

RB continues to monitor the situation across the region closely and will make adjustments as necessary in line with relevant country regulations and associated demand changes.
