The airline which flights will be operated by Malindo Air using the new ATR 72-600 aircraft will start serving Bintulu and Sibu on November 5 and November 14, respectively.
The announcement of the added RB Link destinations was made by RB’s Senior Vice President of Sales Ai-Ling Ng in a press conference and agents briefing held in Kuching on Tuesday.
“We are very pleased to be able to expand our footprint in Sarawak with the two destinations through our brand-new innovative product,” she said.
She added: “This allows for more trade and tourism opportunities between the cities and also provides residents from Bintulu and Sibu with greater travel choices to any of our exciting cities within the RB global network.”

Under the project, RB will first serve cities Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Balikpapan, Tawau, Sandakan, Sibu, and Bintulu, while looking at more potential routes.
In a previous report, it was stated that the flight’s cabin crew will be trained to RB’s service standards and initially overseen by RB cabin crew.
The aircraft in white livery is configured in all-economy 72 seat layout where guests will get to enjoy RB’s signature service, food, and drinks for flights over one hour, Muhibah in-flight magazine and usage of personal electronic devices for entertainment.
