Readymix Concrete recently hosted an educational site visit for over 30 visitors from the Public Works Department (JKR) consisting of engineers, surveyors, project officers and staff. 

The entourage had a tour at the company’s concrete batching plant in Sungai Akar led by Readymix’s Technical Manager Howell Dosal Carcillar.

The employee has been with the company since 2012 with four years of experience as a concrete specialist in Dubai prior to working in Brunei.

During the visit, the JKR group was shown the detailed process of concrete manufacturing starting from the acquisition of the raw materials, quality control and necessary testing of raw materials, production process to delivery.

Prior to visiting the plant, a safety briefing and inspection was conducted by Readymix’s staff Nurfadzle to ensure the safety of all visitors.

The company’s Marketing Executive Zara Laila Abdul Hadi said that Readymix is always ready to welcome the public to their batching plants.

“We are very keen on educating the public on the detailed process as to how we have managed to maintain the quality of our concrete for the past 35 years and how fly ash and other innovations have played a big role in that process,” she said.  – Analisa Amu
