Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) recently hired four new cadet pilots under its Cadet Pilot Intake 51 programme.

Cadet pilots Mohamad Shahzren Hj Puasa, Muhammad Akmal Zufayri Hj Mohamed Effendy, Iskandar Latip and Ridhwan Akmal Singpa @ ‘Abdull Majid are among the 84 shortlisted Bruneians who applied for the cadet pilot programme.

They are scheduled to undergo training on October 22 with RB training partner L3 Airline Academy in New Zealand and are expected to complete by April 2020.

During a contract signing ceremony at RB Campus, the national carrier’s Chief Executive Officer Karam Chand congratulated the young Bruneians who successfully went through stringent assessment and selection process.

“To our cadets, today is the beginning of a great new chapter of your life and we are delighted that you have chosen to share this with us here at RB,” he said.

With the completion of aircraft deliveries by end of November, the airlines will have one of the youngest and modern fleets in Asia, Chadn told the young cadets.

“This is what the cadet should aspire and proud of when they are on training and fly the national flag carrier. I wish you all the best for your upcoming cadetship with our training partner and we look forward to seeing you in our flight deck,” the CEO said.
