At only $2 or $5 for three games, visitors enjoyed the Can Blaster, Ping Pong Plinko, Bowling Pin Knockdown and Ring Toss – a scorer had the chance to win exclusive merchandise.

The classic board game Connect Four was a hit amongst children as well as the water colour, bubbles and fishing activities.

Moreover, the playground also arranged an outdoor cinema for movie buffs that showed Little Rascals, Alice in Wonderland, Rocketman and Beauty & the Beast.

Those who did not feel like sitting on the provided chairs brought their own mat and pillows and made themselves comfortable.

The public was also treated to calligraphy demonstrations and caricature illustrations by local artists. At the same time, visitors could request for customised pieces from as low as $6.

During Azan breaks, families and friends rented mats and had a picnic around JP’s colonnade while basking in the sun.

A number of food vendors were also on hand inside the playground selling local delicacies such as curry puffs, pizza, waffles, hotdogs as well as desserts like halo-halo.
