The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) in collaboration with Brunei Shell Petroleum recently held a socialisation event entitled “BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY, THE SHENA STORY”.

In his welcoming remarks as the Authority for SHENA, Permanent Secretary of Energy at the Ministry of Energy Haji Azhar Haji Yahya urged for industry players to collaboratively work with the newly established Industry HSE Group, which comprises members from various industries and non-industries to exchange ideas and explore innovative ways to turn HSE related challenges into opportunities.

Haji Azhar added: “Regardless where your organisation is on your safety journey or how far your organisation has come, I urge you to take it further; provide the right training required, implement the necessary directives, strengthen the existing policies, take that extra step to ensure safety”.
