The Progresif Women Future Academy (WFA) celebrated a successful course completion for its first six participants at Progresif’s headquarters, last week.
The first of its kind, Progresif WFA is designed to help women identify strengths, set smart goals and gain effective strategies to pursue them.
The 18-session masterclass and workshop additionally connected women with major life and career ambitions to the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
Formed in partnership with Womennovation Brunei, a local women empowerment initiative under BIG BWN Project, Progresif WFA enlisted Lisa Ibrahim to lead the programme.
Lisa has more than 20 years of experience running companies and numerous entrepreneurial ventures and is now a certified Life Coach and Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
The first batch, according to the press statement, were made up of entrepreneurs who had set their sights on growth.
Lisa aided them to transform challenges into possibilities with emphasis on gaining clarity, focus and taking actions towards achieving the life and business they would love to lead.
“The participants started excited, hopeful and motivated, (these are) all the ingredients necessary to make them ideal candidates for this programme,” said Lisa.
“Sharing their journeys and business hopes with each other, what began as six strangers became a community of empowered women driving towards shared goals.”
“We touched on self-awareness, confidence and a range of business tools to help them to level-up their business and I can’t wait to see what they go on to achieve,” she added.
The Progresif WFA initiative came in the wake of the company’s recent launch of the Progresif Minds educational platform last year.
Additionally, it forms part of a larger CSR-driven commitment to support education and entrepreneurship in Brunei, read the press statement.
Speaking on the initiative, Progresif’s Head of Brand Strategy, Hafiza Mohamad, said as Progresif is a company dedicated to reinvesting in the community, they have always made every effort to support innovative and new initiatives that aim to create positive outcomes for society.
“With Entrepreneurship as one of the four key CSR pillars alongside, Environment, Arts and Culture and Education, supporting the life and career development of women in Brunei is a more than worthy cause to get behind.”
Applications for the second cohort will open next year in March 2021.
