Registration is opened for the first ever Southeast Asia Leadership and Multicultural Convention (SALAMCON), which is slated to be held at the Youth Centre in the capital from September 6 to 8.
The event which was co-organised by Perspective Insan Academy and Al-Huffaz Management company aimed to develop mutual understanding amongst Southeast Asian youths, and foster cultural appreciation among each other.
Co-chairperson of the event Yang Berhormat Iswandy Ahmad who is also a Legislative Council (LegCo) member said the convention also aimed to promote Bandar Seri Begawan as the capital of Islamic Culture for Asia 2018.
Bringing the theme M.U.M.T.A.Z (Meaningful, Unity, Merit, Tradition, Advancement, Zeal), the convention will feature a mix of forum-based discussions, networking sessions and themed-tours.
All the activities designed are directed to sharpening leadership skills among the diverse group of participants.
