Standard Chartered Bank (SC) Brunei is sending 40 athletes and supporters to the annual Standard Chartered Games, which will be held for two days in Malaysia starting tomorrow.

The athletes will be pitched against SC teams from across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam in a number of sporting events including Bowling, Futsal, Basketball and Golf.

SC Brunei’s CEO Anirvan Dastidar said his teams have been training hard in their respective games and hoped their commitment will pay off as they contest their skills against others.

Standard Chartered Games is an annual sporting contest founded by David Moir in the late 80s to promote camaraderie and improve networking between the participating teams.

Over 500 staff from the five countries are expected to compete in the games tomorrow.
