Fancy for some fine dining? Consider the new surf and turf restaurant Area 8, offering you Western and Eastern cuisines exclusively curated by internationally trained professional chefs.
Tony Mohamed, the owner of the establishment, said that their main menu consists of a variety of premium quality meat ranging from Wagyu Rib Eye, Wagyu Tomahawk, Wagyu Sirloin, Lamb Rack, Lamb Loin and T-bone steak.
“We want to serve the best items to our customers hence why we brought in the best meat and this includes fresh handpicked seafood,” he said, adding that the eatery was opened at One Riverside in July.
Moreover, Area 8 provides customers an option to choose different types of seafood from prawns, crabs, clams and fish to be cooked together.
“Choose whatever you like, with a minimum weight of 200g, and our chefs can cook it to your liking either grilled, deep-fried, steamed, pan-fried, wok-fried or curried,” said Tony.
The dishes can be cooked in international cooking styles including Continental, Chinese, Thai, Indian and Area 8 Malay special.
Customers can have it with various choices of side dishes such as mash potatoes, steak fries, assorted mushroom, wok-fried vegetables, Thai fried rice and butter broccoli.
Tony said the current menu was created to serve both local and international customers’ needs.
“At the moment it’s a temporary menu as we’re currently testing what the market likes and once we have enough feedback, we’ll have a permanent menu by this month,” the owner said.
As soon as you step into the restaurant, you’ll notice that the whole eatery is modernly decorated with dark Façade Brick Walls, exuding an exclusive setting.
Furthermore, if you want some fresh air, unwind and dine by the riverside of the restaurant or enjoy live tableside cooking inside the establishment.
The restaurant can also cater to private occasions with two rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people.
Tony added that Area8 targets business crowds such as bankers and corporate clients looking to find a quiet environment for meetings, lunch or even tea breaks.
“We offer a value executive lunch set that is guaranteed to satisfy your palate and keep you full throughout the day,” said Tony, adding that the lunch promotion is at $15 per person available daily from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
Furthermore, if you’re an early bird, wake up with Area 8’s array of East & West breakfast delicacies at just $12 per person available daily from 7am to 10.30am.
The restaurant also currently has a seafood buffet promotion priced at $28 for adults and $15 per child.
Sweet tooths can rejoice as the restaurant serves desserts specially created by the in-house chefs namely the poached pear nut chocolates fudge with fruit salsa, the cheese & mango mousse topped up with jelly with fruit crumble and the textures of chocolate delicious with grapes pannacotta.
“We aim to give our customers quality experience and service hence why we’ve prepared the best ingredients, one of a kind dishes and impeccable service,” said Tony.
