Takaful Brunei has launched its latest Takaful Brunei mobile application that is designed to create ease and comfort for registered users to participate, renew, make claim and manage all their Takaful certificates.

With the app, customers can get access to Takaful Brunei Am (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga (TBK) product information, customer information, updates and promotions right at their fingertips.

It contains 12 available products which include Musafir (Travel) Takaful, Comprehensive Home Package Takaful, Additional Coverage for Motor Takaful, Golfer Takaful, All Risk For Bicycle Takaful, Personal Accident for Active Life Takaful and the latest addition, WCP For Domestic Helper Takaful, among others.

Previously, customers would have to go to the nearest TBA counter but now, you can skip the long queues via the app which can be downloaded on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Once downloaded, customers will only need to go through the one-time registration and verification process to get access.

Moreover, registered users can also enquire about TBK products in the platform which includes As Syifa’ (Medical) Takaful, Student Care Takaful, Nur Savings and Aman Plus Takaful.

Additional benefits to customers will also include exclusive discount rates on their Takaful products.

With just a swipe of a finger, customers can receive quotations instantly and complete their participation via online payment through the app and receive a digital copy of their Takaful Certificates.

Featuring a clean and user-friendly look, customers will have all the features available including viewing the product coverage specifications, getting instant quotations and ultimately making a purchase for their desired Takaful protection.

Furthermore, one of the highlighted features of the app is the ‘My Takaful’ which assists registered users in managing all their TBA/TBK Takaful certificates.

The feature also allows users to easily find out when their takaful protection expires and financially plan ahead to renew and ensure there are no gaps in their takaful protection as they have access to their active certificates as well as an archive to past certificates and pending claims status.

Users will also be notified directly regarding Takaful Brunei’s updates, news and new promotions via their account inbox.

Another highlighted feature of Takaful Brunei Mobile is the ability for registered users to conveniently make a claim without having to leave their house.

Moreover, the app will provide users with immediate information and guide on how to make a claim and also formally proceed the claim notification process through the mobile app itself saving time.

The company is keen to introduce additional features and upgrades in the future such as a loyalty programme.

Takaful Brunei’s Managing Director Haji Shahrildin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya said that the introduction of the mobile app is a very important milestone in its commitment and strategic progress in supporting the country’s Vision 2035 and the Digital Economy Masterplan.

He added: “One of Takaful Brunei’s pillars is to serve customers the best way possible. We take pride in delivering services to our customers and continuously review areas to ultimately serve our customers better.”

Takaful Brunei Mobile initiative, the managing director added, has been recognised by Insurance Asia, a publication company of the Charlton Media Group.

“Alhamdulillah, I am pleased to officially share that Takaful Brunei has won an award for Digital Insurance Initiative of the Year in 2020,” he said.

On her part, Assistant General Manager of TBA Mariyatul Omar Ali said that TBA will continuously look for innovative and digital solutions that enhance the customers’ experience, ultimately enabling simpler, faster and more convenient services for their customers.
