TelBru hosts Raya gathering

Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) yesterday celebrated the annual festive Raya season in a joyous get-together with some 1,500 guests at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong.

The event which started just before lunchtime was held to foster professional and personal relationships among the telco’s staff and clients from across various industries, foreign missions as well as both government and private sectors.

TelBru also took the opportunity to extend its appreciation to all of its stakeholders for the support received and given over the years, in line with the spirit of the month-long festivity.

At the event, people were treated to a wide spread of Raya delicacies such as rendang and lemang as they enjoy the merriment atmosphere, catching up with their friends and clients.

Present at the open house as guests were the Minister of Communications, Yang Berhormat Abdul Mutalib Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Major General (B) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.

Also joining the table of invited guests were the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Dr Haji Abdul Manaf Haji Metussin, in his capacity as TelBru’s Chairman, Director of Civil Aviation Mohammad Nazri Haji Mohammad Yusof, and TelBru’s Chief Executive Officer David Holliday as well as several high commissioners and ambassadors to Brunei.
