The Teh Tarik Place, a Malaysian franchise, has opened its first international outlet at Aman Hills Shopping Centre, bringing the best of Malaysian dishes to Bruneians.
The franchise’s first foray outside of Malaysia now places its menu within local borders offering a variety of mamak-style dishes, the well-known Nasi Kerabu that is best served with of course their namesake, the humble teh tarik.
The eatery’s chief executive officer Lee Yew Jin in an interview said that he is confident with the Bruneian market.
“Brunei and Malaysia share common tastebuds, this is why we chose to venture into Brunei as our first international outlet,” said Lee.
Talking about future expansion plans, Lee also revealed that the franchise is keen to open in Melbourne, Australia this year.
The Teh Tarik Place currently has 22 branches based in the Klang Valley, Malaysia with its 23rd branch in Brunei.
The eatery is located at the ground floor of the shopping centre and for updates, follow them on Facebook and Instagram @tehtarikplacebrunei
