Mobile Dream Centre (MDC) and BenchLab recently kicked off a five-week pilot upskilling programme aimed to empower women from economically challenged families to be self-reliant.

The pilot programme provided skills training, targeting women from Subok area who are breadwinners and heavily dependent on aid from social welfares.

MDC Project Manager Majdurano Georgiana Majallah Sain said that the organisation hoped that the participants are able to use the experience gained from the training as a starting point of their journey towards success.

“Know that the desire to succeed should always be greater than your fear to fail,” she said.

Since its formation, the programme has enabled women to become independent by equipping them with income-generating skills, entrepreneurial skills as well as build self-confidence.
