Trueliving Spa and Studio (Trueliving), an all-women health and beauty establishment, has marked a new milestone for receiving the ASEAN Spa Services Standard Award at the ASEAN Tourism Award 2019 in Vietnam recently.

The Sengkurong-based spa, which was one of the recipients under the spa category, was assessed by the awards auditing committee based on seven major criteria namely; the place, the service, the people, the products, the equipment, the management and the environmental practices.

According to Datin Hjh Zaliha Hj Mohiddin, the owner and managing director of Trueliving, the minimum mark to qualify for the ASEAN Spa Services Award is 80 per cent and it exceeded expectations and achieved 96.8 percent.

“This award is a recognition on the team’s dedication in providing the best quality of services, products and facilities to our guests. Being very new to the industry, I believe this award will enhance the image and reputation of Trueliving Spa and Studio and bring about positive impact towards the business,” she said.

Prior to the awards, candidates had to undergo a three-month assessment process at their respective business premises and went through several stages of auditing to be shortlisted.

During the inspections, the auditing committee was guided by the spa’s team through numerous processes starting from arrival of guests to their departure.

Trueliving management, she added, was also required to produce Certificate of Manufacturer for the spa products which must conform to the ASEAN Harmonization Act.

“Praises to Allah, I am grateful to Allah SWT for His continuous blessings and for giving me the courage and strength to pursue my passion in helping others’ well being,” said Datin Zaliha.

Talking about future plans, Trueliving has several projects in the pipeline as it aspires to be a destination spa among women and a prominent wellness brand locally and regionally.

“We may provide our guests with customised lifestyle improvement and health enhancement through professional spa services, exercises, education programming and onsite accommodation where spa cuisine or healthy food is served,” she said.

It offers variety of necessary facilities and services under one roof ranging from manicure and pedicure treatment, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool to pre-wedding treatment, post-natal treatment, deep tissue massage and hot stone massage, among others.
