Universiti Brunei Darussalam will be hosting a graduation exhibition dubbed “UBD SPECTRUM 2021: ANEW”, showcasing projects done by undergraduates of its Design and Creative Industries (DCI) programme.
The month-long event which will start from 8 April to 8 May features the works of 28 students focussing on six clusters namely; visual arts, creative writing and publishing, film and animation, interior and furniture design, entertainment and fashion.
With the diverse line-up, the graduating DCI students hope to live up to and bring to greater heights the legacy of what came before them, said the university in a statement.
The new UBD Spectrum which was previously called UBD Spectacle under the Art & Creative Technology undergraduate programme aims to better encapsulate the interdisciplinary areas of art, design and media; innovation and technology; and business and management offered by the DCI programme.
During the exhibition, gallery talks will be held every Wednesday and Saturday, where the students will discuss the research, ideation and development behind the conceptualisation of the many products that will be showcased during the exhibition itself.
The spectrum will be opened from Mondays to Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9am to 7pm but will close at 3pm during the holy month of Ramadan.
