Nuraida Chung Abdullah is driving home a brand new Volvo V40 following her lucky win in the Brunei International Airport’s V40 Driveaway, Spend and Win campaign.
She was among six finalists to be shortlisted for the final draw today. Each participant randomly chose a pillar containing a prize concealed by a sticker before peeling them off.
These finalists were among the visitors or travelers who entered the campaign when they dined or shopped at Aewon Brunei, Anjung Saujana, Burger King, DST, KFC and Paloma.
“I am indeed happy and did not expect the win,” said Nuraida.
“I always shopped at Paloma for their perfumes every time I go for travel,” she added.
Nuraida said the Volvo V40 will be given to her son as a gift.
The remaining five finalists were Loo Kee Lee, Awg Jihadi Hj Awg Kasim, Muhammad Hj Mus, Wang Pee Yeun and Abdul Halim Saim. Each received $100 shopping vouchers.
The campaign started on July 20 last year and concluded on May 31.
It was jointly held by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) and MMW with the aim of making the airport more vibrant, attractive and increase passengers’ experience.
The Volvo V40 was courtesy of Bee Motors Sdn Bhd, while Baiduri Bank Berhad, D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd and KFM helped sponsored the campaign.
The anticipated reveal and prize presentation was held at the airport’s arrival hall in the presence of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications Hj Azhar Hj Ahmad.
Prior to the prize presentation, MMW’s Executive Creative Director Azlan Ahmad extended his appreciation to the DCA for the inaugural collaboration of the campaign.
“I’d like to express my sincerest appreciation to my creative team and special project team for the hard work. We hope this campaign and similar ones in the future will encourage more spending by passengers (at the airport),” he said.
Also in attendance was Acting Director of DCA Mohammad Nazri Mohammad Yusof.
