Good news K-beauty fans! The latest Korean beauty brand, WonderLab has officially set foot on our shores, and its introducing Brunei’s first sheet mask subscription programme that delivers straight to your house!  

With the launch of their first flagship store at Aman Hills Shopping Complex, WonderLab is intent on meeting the growing local demand for Korean beauty products, featuring a range of skincare brands such as Haruharu, Well Nature and Wonder Dewi. 

Being the latest product from Cuckoo under its second pillar called ‘Healthy Lifestyle’, WonderLab has over 16 stores across the globe, offering innovative skincare products with natural ingredients that have been carefully selected, tested and formulated.

“WonderLab not only focuses on providing Korean skincare products, but emphasises on a new customer experience,” said Brand Manager, Wong Hui Ting in an interview.

She explained how the Korean beauty brand aims to revolutionise those experiences through subscription packages of their diverse and top-of-the-line products which can cater to every skin type. 

“We will be offering Brunei’s first sheet mask subscription programme, packaged into three different WonderKits for 7, 14 and 28-days,” continued Ting, who is also the Marketing Director of Cuckoo.

Melding convenience with K-beauty

Located at the ground floor of the Aman Hills Shopping Complex, it is difficult to ignore WonderLab’s freshly decored storefront that features the brand’s signature nude colour. 

The shade is a testament to WonderLab’s mission to give customers the accessibility to the latest and innovative skin products that are available, ones that are highly regarded for their quality ingredients and cutting-edge formulas that are best suited for Southeast Asian skin.

The beauty brands also promises to bring an elevated shopping experience, one that goes beyond just products, and curated to satisfy your beauty regiment needs.

This comes with the WonderLab’s introduction of the WonderDewi Good Plan, a subscription plan that is a first for its kind in the sultanate, and one that can help you put that glow back into your daily routine. 

The WonderDewi Sheet Masks feature four types of masks: the Dewi Hydro, Dewi Bright, Dewi Soothe and Dewi Repair. 

The Dewi Hydro is rich in AQUAXYL and seven types of Hyaluronic acid both combined to provide long-lasting deep skin hydration and to retain skin moisture for hydrated skin.

Whereas, the Dewi Bright is formulated with pearl extract to improve uneven skin tones and refines the skin for a heathier and brighter glow.

Dewi Soothe, on the other hand, is infused with Calendula extract and Pink Aloe to remove excess heat and to moisturize skin, therefore able to soothe, stabilize and revitalize troubles and dry skin.

Lastly, the Dewi Repair is formulated with Natto Gum to stimulate the growth of collagen and increase skin’s elasticity for a healthy and firmer skin.

“Following the human’s skin cycle, the WonderDewi masks are packaged into three different Wonder Kits with tested skincare routines for 7 days, 14 days and 28 days,” explained the brand manager.

Additionally, the plan is priced for as low as $29 per month for the 14-day Wonder kit and $53 per month for the 28-day Wonder kit. The Wonder Kits are also available in any CUCKOO stores.

“We wanted to bring WonderLab into Brunei because we felt that it aligned with the Cuckoo brand. Part of our vision is to deliver quality Korean skin care products that offer a new approach to the customer shopping experience,” Ting continued. 

“We designed our stores in a way that not only offers customers to browse our products but at the same time, allow them to experience a one-on-one tailored consultation with our Wonder Ambassadors (sales executives),” she added in regards to their flagship store.

The brand manager went on to explain that the Wonder Ambassadors at the store will also offer customers step-by-step guides for different skincare regimes, from morning to nighttime routines, Wonder Ambassadors are always present to help. 

She then expressed optimism in how WonderLab will be received, already seeing a growth opportunity in the Brunei market, which includes the Korean beauty brand’s expansion in the near future. 

Ting believed that the debut of WonderLab comes at a time where K-beauty products are at peak popularity, not only in Brunei but in the entire world, and buoyed by that reality, the beauty brand is already planning to open up six more branches before the year ends.
