Excel Event Management is working with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) to host its first ever Youth Entrepreneurship Weekend.

The event which will be held starting March 15 at the Youth Centre will feature vendors, business advisory sessions and motivational talk by successful entrepreneurs.

The three-day event will also bring together numerous displays of family-fun activities including a colouring contest, spelling bee, radio-controlled Mini Z Tournament and car boot sale.

At the same time, Excel Event Management is also inviting young vendors who are interested to participate in the event for only $100 throughout the event.

Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the National Orphans Fund.

Excel Event Management’s founder Anna Madzin told The Bruneian that the event was initiated to help young entrepreneurs showcase their products and services.

“Entrepreneurship in youth has been a constant topic of discussion in the recent years and the goal to expand this has grown exponentially with interest” she said

“Besides fostering youth mindsets to be more agile in adapting business skills and knowledge, the event will also enable them (to learn) to create jobs for themselves and others,” she added.

The Youth Entreprenuership Weekend will be open to the public from starting 2pm on March 15, 10am to 10pm on March 16 and 8am to 8pm on March 17.
