The sultanate sees no new cases of COVID-19 infection for 27 consecutive days with the national tally to remain at 141, revealed the minister of health.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Md Isham Hj Jaafar said in a press conference that the total number of cases that have recovered from the novel coronavirus is 138 individuals.

Meanwhile, only one case still being treated at the National Isolation Centre, where the case is still in critical condition and requires heart/lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance.

“Let us together pray for the patient to be granted full recovery by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. Aamiin Ya Rabbal Alamin,” he said.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 261 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted from January 2020 to 19,885.

BruHealth app updates

The tracing app has accumulated 268,388 registered as users with a total of 5,039 businesses and premises already on the platform, added the minister.

The minister went on to remind restaurant owners, stalls and food courts to ensure that their employees who are handling food to always wear a facemask.
